pdfREnew
Split, Merge and Convert PDF Files

pdfREnew is part of our REnew Series for scanned imaging tools. A quick and inexpensive solution for managing scanned PDF files - split, merge, change the order of pages, and convert to TIFF.

Convert PDF to TIFF for Editing

Convert your pdf files to TIF for editing with any image editing software - an easy one step process with pdfREnew.

Editing images within a PDF file can only be done after you extract or convert the PDF image to another format; tiff (or tif) is the best and most universal format to use. pdfREnew converts both single page pdf files and multi-page pdf files to a tiff file. It can then launch the tif image(s) into any Windows compatible image editing tool. Scanned engineering and office files are easy to convert and edit.

Choose to save your original and/or newly created files to PDF or TIFF.

Split PDF Files

Open any PDF file and split it into any number of separate files.

Split Using Blank Page Detection

Open any PDF or scanned file and insert blank pages wherever you would like the file separated into individual files. Or, scan a group of documents with a blank piece of paper between each of the documents. pdfREnew then splits the file into separate files at every blank page.

Selecting the blank pages is easy. A Blank Page Slider accurately selects only the blank pages. The control is very sensitive to ensure that pages with only a small amount of text won't be mistakenly identified as a blank page.

You can customize the naming conventions and output paths for the newly created files. And save the new files to PDF or TIFF.

Split Every "n" Pages

pdfREnew can split a PDF file (or an entire folder) at a specified page interval. You select the number of pages per file. You have file naming options and can save the new files to PDF or TIFF.

You can use this split file technique to speed up scanning. If you have a group of files that are all the same number of pages, scan them all at once. Then use pdfREnew to split the scanned PDF file(s) into separate documents according to a number of pages you specify. For example, you have a group of 2 page documents -- tell pdfREnew to create a new document every 2 pages.

Save to PDF

Select a single page within a file or the entire file and use the "Save As" option to save it to a new tif or pdf file.

Merge, Add and Delete Pages

Need to add pages or an entire file to a single or multi-page PDF document?
Use pdfREnew to merge multiple files together, add pages onto the end of an existing pdf file, delete individual pages or change the page order.

  • Merge files - Simply drag a new file from Windows Explorer onto the end of any currently open file.
  • Delete pages - Right click on any page and select Delete Page
  • Change page order - Select a page, right click to copy, select where you want the page to be placed, right click and select paste. The page is moved.
  • Save the new file to pdf or tif

  • Page Options

pdfREnew is a feature-rich solution for managing your pdf and scanned files. Select any page within a PDF or scanned file and you have many options. You can save it to pdf or tif, copy and paste it anywhere in the open document, launch it into an image editing program, delete it, separate it from the rest of the document by inserting a blank page before it, and view its properties.

    Compression

Group 4 compression, is automatically applied to any file that has not been previously compressed in the scanning process. This is a 20 to 1 reduction in file size over non-compressed scans.
