Step 2: Split and Rename Files

Second, specify some naming rules for your newly created files. Files can be named using barcodes, text, date, time and page count or a combination of any of these options. Page count uses the number of the page where the barcode was found in a stack of documents.

Barcode Support Barcode scanning is the easiest and fastest way to scan information into a usable files. Using barcode recognition, an entire stack of documents is split into individual files at every barcode, renamed using the data contained in the barcode and routed to a specified folder or to a folder named by the barcode information. If this folder doesn't exist, Batch REnew will create it. Batch REnew can read most standard 1D barcodes.

Folder Processing and Folder Watching
A scanning profile is used to establish the file processing rules - file input and output folders, splitting, naming, and image clean up. Two profiles can be assigned, one for folder watching and one for folder processing

• Folder Processing begins when a user initiates the process for more controlled activity.
