Raster Editing & Scanned Image Cleanup Made Easy |

|
rasterREnew is a raster / tiff editor that makes it easier than ever to edit scanned drawings. Simple CAD-like tools allow users to change, add or erase geometry and text. Editing raster data can be more efficient than converting scanned engineering drawings into vector. Vector conversion, and the necessary QA processes that go along with it, can be lengthy and cumbersome. . The advantages of scanning paper drawings are broad and well-known. But what may not be known are the advantages of maintaining your scans in a tiff or raster format. When scanning a drawing or document, the scanned information is raster data, most commonly in the form of a tiff file. Raster is universal, vendor, version, and rev level independent and as generic as a .txt file. In fact, more engineering drawings are preserved in raster as tiff images than vector. Want to keep your scanned drawings in PDF? That is no problem. rasterREnew can open any monochrome PDF file and edit it as an image. Then, you have the option of saving the file as a TIFF or PDF. And, rasterREnew contains speedy clean up tools to ensure that your scanned images are easy to read, and ready for viewing, editing and printing.
Raster Editing ToolsetMake your edits using all of rasterREnew's easy to use tiff editing tools. Each tool has its own set of options. Pick an Edit option from the dropdown menu as illustrated on the left. Or pick a drawing tool - the images below show the options for two of the Drawing Tools: Line and Text.
rasterREnew HighlightsBroad Raster File Support rasterREnew is a universal raster and tiff editor that supports many raster files. All monochrome raster files generated from today's scanners, as well as hybrid files from CADOverlay, Raster Design and GTX, and Military raster file formats including JEDMICS C4 and CALS, can take advantage of raster editing with rasterREnew. PDF Support rasterREnew can open and edit any monochrome PDF file. After using the full complement of raster editing tools, you can then save (convert) the file to PDF or TIFF. Very fast image enhancing and cleanup You can deskew, despeckle and crop the average e-size drawing in seconds. Not only will your drawing be ready for raster editing very quickly, the reduced file size will speed up all future drawing uses. Batch Enhancement A built-in Batch Enhancement Manager provides attended or unattended image clean-up. Speed up the image process with Auto Crop, Auto Deskew, and Auto Despeckle. More details on batch file cleanup Easy to learn and use The raster editor tool set is designed for ease of use and brings new users up to speed quickly. An AutoCAD-like interface with an auto-complete command line system provides users with virtually no learning curve. Efficient raster drafting Quickly manipulate existing geometry, add new geometry, and save changes using simple cad-like tools. Cut, copy and paste, snap to grids, snap to ortho, and raster dimensioning make editing your raster drawings a quick and easy process. Save and print Save raster drafting edits to make the changes permanent. Scale drawings for printing with or without bannering and watermarks and move on to the next project. rasterREnew is the only raster editor you will need. This screen shot shows the options you have when using the Batch Image Enhancement feature. Simply select the functions you want to perform, and rasterREnew does the rest.
