echive^®Media Explorer

The echive^® Media Explorer is the version of echive Explorer that can be iinstalled on CD/DVDs to create standalone published databases. By installing Media Explorer on the CD/DVD, the recipient doesn't need to be an echive Explorer user. They simply install the included echive Explorer which then provides full search, view and print functionality.

Media Explorer is available as an unlimited or individual licensing plan. The unlimited version is a license that permits an installable version of Explorer to be copied onto the media with each publishing of the database.

The application for publishing databases to external media such as CD-ROM or DVD can be found within echive Organizer.

Open Archive systems provides a specialized database publishing tool called echive Storage Planner. This tool provides planning information for the creation of near-line or off-line databases. echive Storage Planner assembles the necessary information, then calculates and compiles the data into separate files according to your specified output media. Your CD writer application can then easily copy the database and files.
