|
echive supports Twain 32 compliant scanners. View images, manage multi-page documents, clean up the scanned image and more.

| Index
|
Full text indexing is the process of capturing the text from scanned images to prepare files for full text searching. This captured data (OCR data) enables our powerful SurroundSearchtm engine to quickly locate any word or combination of words in any file in the database.
Field Indexing applies categories of information to files. You can import common file properties, such as filename, date, and author, and add customized fields such as "project name", "customer", "purchase order number", or "vendor". You can then search and sort these index fields in an echive database.

| Search
|
Use any word or combination of words to easily and quickly locate your files . The sentence(s) containing the search word(s) are highlighted in the built-in viewer.
Search for files using the index fields. You can use the Property Explorer which displays the index fields in folders like Windows Explorer or you can search for any combination of fields using a simple pop-up dialog box.

| View
|
View documents without launching the native application. Viewing tools include zoom, pan, magnify, invert and more.

| Redline
|
A full set of redline tools is avialable for adding notes, comments, markups, or redlines to any file.. Redlines are stored as a separate layer and automatically open with the file. Using rasterREnew - our raster editor tool - redlines can be incorporated into the document.

| Print
|
echive can print any recognized file type without launching the native application. The print interface offers lots of options, such as banners, watermarks adn scaling.

| Edit
|
You can launch any file into its native application for editing. A read-only version of the file will be available to other users to prevent editing errors. Or, you can launch a file with redlines into rasterREnew right from the echive menu permanently add the redline information.

| Distribute and Publish
|
Individual files, groups of files, and entire databases are easily copied to CD/DVDs and the Web with the option to include searchable data. An installable version of echive Explorer can also be included which delivers a standalone.
CD/DVD publishing provides many benefits for distributing files or entire databases: transportability, remote access, simple file delivery and archiving. echive Explorer can be included on every CD for a standalone solution.
